Solving real problems for real people makes me (really) happy.

I thrive in work environments that respect process but are not limited by it, value collaboration between teams, and promote growth and development through solving challenging and dynamic user needs and business problems.

When I’m not working...

You have a good chance finding me doing one of three things:

  • Snuggling with my animals—I have three rescues from Austin Pets Alive! Two dogs, Maria and Little, and a cat named Garby

  • Cooking my heart out in the kitchen—I love exploring new recipes and flavor combinations, but nothing will ever beat homemade pizza

  • Hand lettering or abstract painting—My newest obsession is working with alcohol inks

My Design Philosophy

We're better together

design is for everyone

"The best products emerge from highly collaborative teams, on which designers are shepherds of design rather than gatekeepers. Where engineers, PMs, marketers, and others are empowered to participate, and educated with an understanding of design so everyone can be a part of creating a usable, delightful product." - Dave Feldman / UX Collective I believe in this idea wholeheartedly and strive to collaborate with others throughout all of my projects.

Embrace the data

data is the tool we use to drive decisions

I believe good designers see the value and know how to act upon both qualitative and quantitative data. Quantitative data tells us “what” is happening, while qualitative data tells us “why?” something is happening. Both forms of data are critical to understanding the full picture to any given experience.

Understand both the the user and the business needs

you cant have one without the other

I recognize the importance of understanding and empathizing with the business no less than you do for your users. The more designers can move skillfully navigate between the business and user needs, the more we can design solutions that satisfy both.
